1 lb. ground beef
1 large onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves minced
29 oz. tomato sauce
1 cup water
1 6 oz. can tomato paste
1 tsp salt
1 tsp. oregano
1 tsp. Italian Seasoning, or to taste
1 package 8 oz. lasagna noodles (not cooked)
4 cups mozzarella, shredded
1 & ½ cup cottage cheese
½ cup parmesan cheese shredded
Cook beef, onion and garlic, drain.
Mix tomato sauce, water, tomato paste, salt, oregano, italian seasoning together.
Mix cheeses together.
Layer 3 times: sauce mixture
Noodles
Meat mixture
Cheese mixture
Cook on low for 4-5 hours.
Note: I mix the sauce and meat together so my layers are: noodles, sauce/meat mixture then cheese mixture. Put a little sauce in the bottom of the crockpot before placing the first noodles to prevent them from being too dry.
