I got this recipe from some website years ago. Unfortunately, when I copied it, I didn't copy the website down. I have since learned to use One Note and it records the website automatically. But alas, I did not get the website...So sorry if I stole your recipe. Let me know and I will make the proper notation on the post! But its Yummy!
Wiener Schnitzel
from the Siegfried Deli
Ingredients:
6 pork cutlets
3 egg whites
1/4 cup water
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup bread crumbs
Salt and pepper
Instructions:
Tenderize the pork cutlets. Mix the water, the egg whites and the salt and pepper together in a bowl. Dip and coat the cutlets in the egg-water mixture. Then coat the meat with flour and dip it back into the egg-water mixture. Then dip the coated cutlets in the breadcrumbs. Refrigerate for 30 minutes. Heat oil in a frying pan and fry the refrigerated cutlets for about 3-4 minutes or until golden brown. Serves about 6.
We eat it with some Bavarian Style Bratwurst that we buy in a can at Walmart...It's yummy!
